The Insight
Kenektic was born from a simple but powerful observation: the same technology that was supposed to connect us has made us lonelier than ever. Social media gives us hundreds of “friends” but leaves us feeling more isolated. Dating apps dominate the app store but nobody is building for friendship.
The Surgeon General declared loneliness a public health epidemic, linking chronic loneliness to increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and dementia. And yet, not a single company was applying modern AI to the fundamental human problem of making friends as an adult.
The question was simple: “What if AI could understand someone deeply enough to know who they'd genuinely connect with?”
